Both the Assembly and Senate Subcommittees that review the Commission’s budget voted to NOT approve the Governor’s proposal to eliminate the CA Commission on the Status of Women.
We will keep you posted if there is more action needed to maintain the Commission’s budget.Committee members received lots of calls and letters which really makes a difference, thanks for all your support!

Tell them that the Commission serves a critical purpose as an independent voice for the women and girls of California through its work with the Legislature and other state agencies. Say “I support full funding of the budget of the Commission on the Status of Women” .
